Position Summary:
ME should have process plant (chemical, refinery, power) experience, either design or maintenance. Must have good writing and verbal communication skills. A/E firm experience is a plus. Must be at least registration-tracked.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering studies, write reports, and complete engineering calculations.
- Prepare designs for process plant installations, including completion of construction drawings and specifications.
- Specifications will include major items of rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines, and pumps.
- Other equipment will include pressure vessels, heat exchangers, dryers, distillation columns, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Work as team member or leader to complete designs, including working w/ PFDs and P&IDs.
- Assist in preparation of bid packages and equipment purchasing.
Minimum Education and ExperienceBachelor Degree in Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice, is required. PE or PE-tracked preferred. 8+ years direct experience required. OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Ability to lead project teams and manage junior designers and engineers.
