Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the PSG-GR Continuous Improvement program by effectively identifying, leading, coaching, training, and implementing process improvement solutions. Responsibilities include driving the implementation of the Dover Operational Excellence model, identifying and executing Continuous Improvement initiatives, and helping to create a Continuous Improvement culture. Examples of types of efforts that this role will engage in includes: implementation of Lean manufacturing concepts, facilitation of Value Stream Design workshops, serving as a trainer and mentor for key concepts, designing and implementing future state Operations processes aligned to best practices, identifying and executing Kaizens throughout the business. Candidate must be results oriented with a bias for data driven decision making while being able to juggle multiple projects. Results for the role will be measured in terms of manufacturing efficiency savings realized, capacity targets attained, ROI achieved for manufacturing investments, and process maturity targets validated within the Dover Operational Excellence model.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership in identifying, planning, executing, and tracking for the labor productivity initiatives gl
  • Drive the identification of improvement opportunities, mobilizing action plans to execute on opportunities, and implementing robust control plans to ensure full and permeant realization of targeted savings
  • Serve as a change agent across the leadership team, spanning the range from Executive leadership team to local Production shop supervision, by seeking, sharing, and implementing methods, tools, sustainable global systems, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with PSG and other Dover sites to identify best practices for CI and 0Dover.
  • Utilize lean management and continuous improvement techniques (like Value Stream Mapping) to establish baseline understanding of current processes and create future state plans that eliminate waste while optimally balancing cost and service level factors
  • Advise, counsel, and collaborate with Production Managers and Manufacturing Engineering in solving issues that impact inventory, workflow, capacity, quality, and other operational indicators
  • Analyze data for trends and conclusions to ensure efforts are focused on highest impact and lowest effort solutions, while utilizing clear business data to measure the tangible impact of improvement efforts implemented
  • Present to the Executive leadership team on a regular basis the status of initiatives, requests for funding, progress on productivity goals, and detailed metrics reporting vs annual operating plan
  • Train, coach, and develop leaders within the site to be process improvement practitioners and leaders, including the philosophy, strategy, application, and tools to improve process capability, eliminate defects, reduce leadtime and improve flow.
  • Lead the Dover Operations Excellence program on site to ensure 0DOVER certification goals are met and are aligned and driving business value.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field or 5+ years of Operations experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a discrete manufacturing (product assembly) organization with experience in assembly and machining. High mix / low volume experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to identify, coordinate, and execute cross-functional process improvements successfully
  • Proficiency in multiple elements of Lean manufacturing (5S, single piece flow, SMED, daily visual management, DFM, bottleneck management, etc.)
  • Proficiency in structured problem-solving methodologies (FAST, A3, 8D, DMAIC, PDCA, etc.)
  • Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite with particular strength in fully utilizing the features of Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams applications.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience in project management processes and tools (benefits identification, business case formation, ROI calculation, progress reporting, risk mitigation)
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred.
  • Well organized with the ability juggle multiple priorities across multiple stakeholders successfully and proactively navigate any challenges or conflict that arises.

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Salary Range : $108,698.00 - $135,860.00
