About the unit
Patients come by way of their own bed from the various units in the hospital except the critical care areas. The unit can accommodate up to 4 patients at a time. The department also has portable capability to treat patients that are vented in CCU, SICU or other areas where portable dialysis is needed.

Scope of work
TheChargeLead Nurserole is to provide direct oversight and supervision of all on line unit processes. This is inclusive of but not limited to staffing and scheduling changes affecting current shift, patient care issues and concerns. Appropriate allocation of resources responding to all codes, and handling employee issues and concerns. In addition to ensuring consistent flow of patients through the department. Functions within the framework of policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrates growth/development.

Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing Required
- Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required
- Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
