- Performs scheduled Maintenance tasks and limited repairs on equipment relating to Corewell Health's Utility Systems.
- Follows documented operational procedures for maintenance and repairs on Utility equipment without interrupting critical hospital functions.
- Maintains parts, supplies and tool inventories as required for maintenance and repairs of Corewell Health's Utility systems.
- Gathers information on, and generates paperwork for, repairs beyond the scope of job requirements.
- Completes daily activity paperwork including recording time and material expenditures and work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Investigates problems on Corewell Health's Utility systems so as to quickly ascertain whether problem found can be handled during the preventive maintenance activity or to create a Corrective Maintenance (CM) work request.
- Performs inspection, testing and maintenance of Life Safety features. This would include, but not limited to fire extinguishers, battery powered exit and egress lights and emergency powered exit signs.
- Maintains and contributes to a safe work environment.
- Uses tools and equipment appropriately.
- Required High School Diploma
- Strong mechanical/maintenance background Required
- Experience in a healthcare facility Preferred
- LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-At least one License and/or Certification in area of specialty - UNKNOWN Unknown Upon Hire preferred
