Job Description

Job Summary

Oversees daily function of the department under the direction of the Director. Manages schedules and meetings for the Director. Maintains CMS reporting records. Provides support to the Magnet Program.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees Nursing Education & Research Department flow: Works with BSC/IT/Communications to coordinate office moves, phone/pager assignments.
  • Schedules meeting, compiles/distributes meeting minutes, compose communications for the Director of Nursing Education & Research.
  • Performs payroll duties and maintains records for department employees.
  • Participates in the application review, interview, orientation and training for new secretarial employees.
  • CMS Reporting: Receives and track CMS Death in Restraints reports; maintains databases.
  • Nursing Research Program: Maintains researcher records, coordinates researcher compliance with hospital requirements, schedules meetings, and maintains databases.
Qualifications
  • Required High School Diploma
  • Preferred Associate's Degree
  • 3 years of relevant experience Administrative level secretarial experience Required
