The Credit Supervisor orchestrates the collection process, ensuring prompt and proficient service of customer orders. This pivotal role balances credit risk management with the optimization of cash flow. Additionally, the supervisor spearheads targeted projects to address deductions and streamline billing operations. Collaborating closely with leadership, the Credit Supervisor champions the enhancement of processes, adherence to procedures, and the advancement of reporting mechanisms, all in alignment with the overarching global credit policy.

Job Description

  • Reviews and analyzes the open account receivable portfolio to ensure prompt collection of open items. Works closely with staff to identify and implement strategies for collection and/or potential bad debts.
  • Provides leadership, direction, and feedback to his/her direct reports.
  • Oversees training of new employees and identifies training opportunities for existing employees.
  • Responsible for managing, controlling and reducing the dollar volume of outstanding customer deductions, while promoting good customer relations.
  • Communicates directly with customers, sales force, and brand personnel regarding: order release, payment negotiation, unapplied payments, and other inquires.
  • Perform root cause analysis by performing research in various systems (SAP, High Radius, K2, etc.) Facilitates discussions and information gathering among team to analyze issue and expedite a timely resolution.
  • Manage risk accounts, identify potential bad debt accounts and highlight increased risk to manager.
  • Gathers quantifying data and generates reports to assist in collections and identifying problem areas.
  • Propose issue prioritization to management and establish a detailed plan to approach
  • Performs duties consistent with the Company's AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Associates degree (preferably in Accounting or Finance) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years accounts receivable; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in an effective, timely and professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • SAP and High Radius experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of banking/lockbox standards preferred.

Working Conditions

Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
