Role Summary:
Reporting to the Organizational Effectiveness Manager, the Human Resources Business Partner is a key member of the Human Resources team. The person in this role is responsible for providing a range of services to leaders focusing on strategic HR, talent, performance management and business partnerships. Performs as a trusted collaborator and advisor to management, supervisors and associates in areas of change management, organization effectiveness, work environment, culture and leadership. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who is self-directed, a strong collaborator, critical problem solver, and who enjoys owning a wide breadth of responsibilities.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Human Resources Business Partner position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Building relationships and coordinate effectively among a wide range of stakeholders and collaborators working across locations, departments, and staff levels to partner and influence
  • Coordinate with the centers of expertise teams on the onboarding and offboarding processes so that the transitions are made as seamless as possible for the associates and organization
  • Assist with the Performance Management Process
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leadership and associates regarding employment issues, including but not limited to policy and procedure interpretation/application, performance management, corrective action, internal investigations and separations; Partners with corporate HR centers of expertise to develop and deliver comprehensive solutions to internal customers
  • Consult with Organizational Effectiveness Manager regarding situations that may warrant disciplinary action, probation, suspension or discharge
  • Act proactively and solving problems in a customer-centric way handling, analyzing, interpreting and communicating effectively and responsibly to drive business outcomes
  • Work closely with centers of expertise to facilitate the talent review process to identify and develop talent throughout the organization
  • Support the talent acquisition organization in supporting talent attraction and internal movement within the organization
  • Proactively monitors talent management processes and practices to identify areas for improvement and uses findings to recommend improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of processes & systems; Plans and executes assigned cross-functional projects in consultation with centers of expertise-including data analysis and interpretation
  • Review unemployment claims, ensures timely responses and participates in hearings
  • Works closely with centers of expertise to implement annual engagement survey; analyzes and reviews findings with leaders, facilitates action planning and follows up to ensure positive organizational changes
  • Document associate inquiries, issues, and transactions as appropriate in order to identify trends and recommend solutions to intervene on systemic issues and mitigate their impact
  • Develop presentations, recommendations and action plans based on facts and best practices
  • Lead new associate orientation to ensure proper completion of new hire paperwork, and deliver timely information
  • Manage special projects and other duties as assigned

What you'll need:
  • Work Experience: 3 years' of progressive experience in human resources
  • Education; Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Experience working with MS Office--Intermediate to Advanced PowerPoint; ability to gather and analyze data and usage/engagement metrics to help drive strategic decisions; business and HR acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking, and analytical abilities
  • Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; provides excellent internal and external customer service

Qualifications we prefer but don't require:
  • Work Experience: 5 years' progressive experience in human resources for a large, complex organization
  • Certifications: Certified HR Professional (e.g., PHR, SPHR, or related)
  • Computer Skills: Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS systems
