About the unit

4 North is a 33 bed Medical Trauma Ortho Burn unit located within Butterworth Hospital. This unit specializes in the care of those with Direct admits from ED with traumatic injuries or burns. Admits from surgery, could be admitted to unit or transfers out of the Surgical ICU. Will also take overflow patients for Med Surgworking support for our Level One Trauma Program. Patients have been injured as a result of a traumatic event. 80% of 4 North's trauma patients are the result on blunt trauma and 20% is penetrating trauma.Teamwork is an important value on this time and welcome new staff or guest staff warmly to ensure they have a great experience on the unit. We welcome new graduate and experienced RNs on 5North, and we are looking for employees who are passionate about this population and excited to grow their skills and gain experience over a long period of time.

Scope of work

Unit Secretaries performs receptionist/secretarial duties and maintains confidential records, supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 Years of relevant related experience
  • Successful completion of competency-based orientation program
