Job Description
Job Description Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract, as required. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test. Expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas. . Essential Functions: Program Manager for XM-30 and the M1A1 program. Develop and maintain WBS and associated dictionary. Develop overarching Program Management Plan outlining how Project will be controlled and managed. Responsible for performing all tasks and management/leadership for budget development (include risk management), control and monitoring, project execution to schedule, cost and technical requirements, and delivery to all contract deliverables or internal commitments. Responsible for ensuring any processes required to be developed to deliver contractual or internal commitments are understood by assocaited functional personnel and developed if not existing. Although not a supervisor, will need to manage and lead the project team through the matrix organization. Projects have significant coordination with other Renk divisions (Renk-France, Renk-Augsberg). The Program Manager will be required to integrate the managment of the support projects within these organizations into the overall Project.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree/Minimum of 9 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree/Minimum of 7 years prior related experience. In-Depth knowledge of project management. Preferred Additional Skills: Project Management Professional (PMP) certified. Working knowledge of Earned Value Management and Program Management Professional Certification is desired but not necessary dependent on other proven experience.
